1. inflation通貨膨脹；通脹率 Inflation is currently running at 3%. 當前的通貨膨脹率為 3%。
deflation a reduction in the amount of money in a country's economy so that prices fall or remain the same 通貨緊縮
recession經濟衰退 The economy is in deep recession. 經濟正處於嚴重的衰退之中。
depression 經濟蕭條 The country was in the grip of (an) economic depression. 當時國家處於經濟蕭條期。
2. luxury奢侈品；奢華
Now we'll be able to live in luxury for the rest of our lives. 如今我們可在有生之年過豪華生活了。
3. prevail普遍存在；盛行；流行
Those beliefs still prevail among certain social groups. 這些信念在某些社會群體中仍很盛行。
4. recede逐漸遠離；漸漸遠去
The sound of the truck receded into the distance. 卡車的聲音漸漸在遠處消失了。
